We can do.BETTER: Zalando promotes diversity and integration

With the new diversity and inclusion strategy do.BETTER, Zalando is publishing a strategy to properly promote the topic of diversity and inclusion not only for customers, but also for employees and partners.

Stock up your closet from the comfort of your couch: Online retail is booming and online stores such as Zalando have become an integral part of modern life, especially since coronavirus. However, there is more to convenient shopping than just a parcel that is delivered to our doorstep on time; without employees, managers, partners and customers, such a successful concept would not be possible, which is why Zalando wants to build on precisely this point. The goal: to be a workplace that offers equal opportunities and a strong sense of belonging. Regardless of gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, nationality and other dimensions of diversity, a working environment is created that is inclusive for everyone. When it comes to the shopping experience, the online store has set itself the goal of making customers feel respected, integrated and valued when they use the platform and communicate with the company. Zalando takes care to book representative models and influencers and relies on careful styling and reduced photo editing. This also includes a wide range of prices, sizes and styles as well as beauty products for all skin tones.

You can find out more about Zalando’s diversity and inclusion strategy do.BETTER here.
