Students at the STF Swiss Textile College created the sustainable collection “The Power of Craft” as part of their annual project. From the 5. March 2022, 17 pieces of which are now on display at Jelmoli, for fashion fans until March 24. March can vote. The winning design will then go into production.
It is an opportunity that fashion students dream of: being able to produce their collection. This is made possible by the joint project “STF x Jelmoli – The Power of Craft”. Students from the STF Swiss Textile College were able to express themselves creatively and design their own collections. The claim: local design, sustainable materials made and produced in Switzerland by swiss silk, SwissFlax, wollsein and Remei and a return to traditional craftsmanship. The students from the Fashion Design & Technology and Fashion Design departments gave it their all and worked really hard. The results are available from day 5. March 2022 at Jelmoli. The 17 fashion pieces represent the ideas behind the annual theme “The Power of Craft” by 17 budding fashion designers. Fashion Week and catwalk feeling with a difference: until 24. At the STF’s stand on March 2022, visitors to Jelmoli and all interested parties will have the opportunity to choose their favorites from the STF students’ cool pieces and vote for them. A win-win situation, as the prize for the winner of the Jelmoli voting is the production of his collection and its subsequent exclusive sale at Jelmoli. Of course, the idea of localness is also taken up here, as it is apprentices from the Modeco training studio in Zurich who will bring the STF winning collection to life.
And those who vote will also win: not only will they have the chance to win their favorite fashion piece from the 4th day onwards. June 2022 at Jelmoli, but also the chance to receive a Jelmoli shopping voucher worth CHF 2,000.
