Full throttle
Even if you are fully convinced that you only use public transport, you can’t avoid the biker trend. Versace shows how easy it can be – if you have the right pieces. Leather: checked. Black: checked. A few fringes here and there: can’t hurt. And if you somehow feel out of place while waiting at the bus stop, sunglasses can help.

Actually, they were always ridiculous, those very small izi-bizi-winky bags that barely fit more than a two-euro coin. So we are very grateful that we can now carry everything we need to survive on a daily basis, from lipstick to toothbrushes and spare socks. Even if that means giving our shoulders and biceps an extra session on our next visit to the gym.
Nice to have

A little bit of the past, a little bit of today: Puma draws inspiration from the jogging shoes of the 2000s and gives them an update with new materials and colors. The result is called “Velophasis” and is so colorful that we can already see spring at the end of the tunnel. The silhouette and the honeycomb mesh structure pay homage to the 2000s, while Puma provides its newcomer with everything that today’s technology has to offer. This sneaker is a concentrated load of energy and just the kick in the ass we so desperately need right now. Puma, “Velophasis Phased”, three colors, approx. 140(puma.com)

Hitman
Helmut Newton never saw himself as an artist. And if his photos did find their way into a museum? “Pure coincidence!” Well, there are things you don’t argue about – and especially not with someone like Newton, one of fashion’s greatest photographers. Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Versace, Thierry Mugler and Blumarine all put the photographer on their payroll, as did Villeroy & Boch and Absolut Vodka. That adds up to a lot of photos that – sorry, Helmut – just naturally belong on the wall. Until May 14, 2023, his best works can be seen in the exhibition “HELMUT NEWTON. BRANDS” exhibition at the Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin. No time for a trip? Then simply browse through the accompanying book “Helmut Newton. A Gun for Hire”. Color freak
Le Corbusier was no minimalist. Not really – at least not as far as his own home is concerned. The archive reveals colors, textures and shapes that the architectural genius would never have imagined. Well then, Tekla gratefully accepts the inspiration and uses it for the second time to create a collection of cozy bedspreads that add a little Corbusier flair to any home. Tekla X Le Corbusier, bedspreads in different colors, 140 x 200 cm, made of lambswool and cashmere for approx. 995.-, made of lambswool for approx. 745(teklafabrics.com)

Repair and care
When did shoes actually become disposable? Catherine and Stefan asked themselves the same question after launching over 40 shoe collections for major brands such as Giorgio Armani and Harrys of London. Time for something of your own! And something that completely turns what we have come to expect from sneakers on its head. VYN relies on a circular system and produces its sneakers across seasons and in line with demand, which grow with their wearers. This is because the heel and heel cap can be exchanged and personalized at the click of a mouse. In future, the shoes will also be resoled quickly and easily and their correct care will be taught in master classes. If the sneaker finally dies after years of use, the label disassembles it into its individual parts and recycles all materials. VYN, Classic or Classic Suede, sneakers, approx. 420(vyn.one)
