TTSWTRS Spring-Summer 2027: Reality-Distorting Technology Steals the Show at NYFW

TTSWTRS SPRING / SUMMER 2027

Forget everything you know about traditional runways. For its Spring/Summercollection, the internationally acclaimed Ukrainian label TTSWTRS turned New York Fashion Week completely upside down, swapping the usual runway for a reality-bending immersion in high-tech illusions at Nine Orchard in Lower Manhattan. The event broke with traditional fashion conventions to create a multisensory universe that blended physical couture, AI-generated films, and virtual reality. Under the direction of founder and creative director Anna Osmiekhina, the clothing became part of the interface itself, connecting the physical collection with its virtual counterpart.

The guests didn’t just sit in their seats and watch a fashion show. Instead, they put on HTC VIVE Focus Vision headsets and embarked on a journey down the Rabbit Hole —into an immersive digital ecosystem. Developed based on an original concept by Osmiekhina in collaboration with AI artist Katsukokoiso.ai, the virtual experience was guided by a mysterious rabbit. The audience traveled through a dreamlike expanse where flowers transformed into extensions of the human body, before the landscape shifted into a darker exploration of modern overproduction, industrial excess, and our growing alienation from nature.

In the physical space, models became surreal, otherworldly inhabitants of this shared ecosystem, guiding guests back and forth between the tangible and virtual worlds. A hypnotic underground soundtrack by DJ Guillotine accompanied the transition and anchored the high-tech experience in raw, contemporary energy, while the HTC VIVE Eagle AI sunglasses were also part of the presentation.

The collection translates Osmiekhina’s simulated nature into tangible, three-dimensional form. Bright pink organza spreads around the body like a plumage, transforming a silhouette into an almost flamingo-like creature, while flowers appear at times hyperrealistic and at other times eerily frozen. Elsewhere, tactile raffia is shaped into architectural forms and sculptural headpieces. Layers of fringe trace the body’s natural contours and distort them, transforming familiar proportions into something completely surreal.

Behind the spectacle lies a more serious message. By bringing the physical body, simulated nature, and XR technology together in the same space, Osmiekhina uses her Wonderland not simply as an escape, but as a means to question the decisions that shape the world around us—and to explore what another version of this future might look like.

For TTSWTRS, Wonderland isn’t just a place where you disappear. It’s a glimpse into what might come next.
