For twenty years, Dame Pat McGrath has been shaping the beauty looks for Louis Vuitton’s fashion shows. To mark the 130th anniversary of the fashion house’s Monogram, her long-standing collaboration with Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière has now resulted in her first standalone beauty collection.
The collaboration between Dame Pat McGrath and Nicolas Ghesquière, under the umbrella of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, is not just another designer collaboration, but rather the natural continuation of a partnership that has long been in place. For over two decades, Dame Pat McGrath has been responsible for the beauty looks at Louis Vuitton’s runway shows. Since Nicolas Ghesquière took on the role of Artistic Director and assumed responsibility for the house’s womenswear creative direction, this exchange has grown even stronger. Over time, their shared runway seasons have fostered a relationship built on trust, instinct, and a shared conviction that beauty and fashion are inseparable.

“For me, beauty has always been complementary to how I envision a silhouette—it completes the character, the attitude, and the emotion of a look. With La Beauté Louis Vuitton, we’re extending this vision beyond the runway. It’s a way to allow the Louis Vuitton woman to carry this expression into her everyday life,” explains Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton. Dame Pat McGrath, Creative Director of Cosmetics, adds: “Nicolas and I have been creating looks together backstage at Louis Vuitton for so many years that a language of our own has developed between us: a trust and a creative harmony. What we’ve created with this collection for La Beauté is the natural next step in this conversation.”

Two Canvases, One Dialogue
At the heart of the collection are two of the brand’s most iconic Monogram designs, reimagined as eyeshadow, lipstick, and lip balm: Monogram Dune, featuring warm beige and nude shades, and Monogram Infrarouge, its high-contrast counterpart in deep black and red.
“Monogram Dune tells the story of a poetic, luminous woman—minimalist, warm, expressed through soft beige and nude tones. Monogram Infrarouge is its polar opposite—a fearless heroine, defined by intensity, bold reds, and strong contrasts,” says Nicolas Ghesquière, describing the two lines.

Dame Pat McGrath explains: “Both women—the radiance of Dune and the fearless intensity of Infrarouge—are real. They are all of us, in different moments, in different lights. What I’ve always loved about collaborating with Nicolas is that his women are never just one thing. They’re complex, contradictory, and entirely themselves. I wanted these collections to embody that same truth.”
Each line includes an eyeshadow palette with four shades (300 euros), a satin lipstick (170 euros), and a lip balm (170 euros). In the Monogram Dune collection, the palette ranges from icy white to rose gold, anise, and hematite gray; the lipstick comes in a warm rose beige, while the “Stellar Veil” topper features a transparent, holographic shimmer. Monogram Infrarouge features four shades: rosé beige, taupe, anthracite, and burgundy. The lipstick shimmers in a deep red, while the “Galactic Veil” topper adds an extra touch of holographic glitter.

An important detail of the line: All products are designed to be refillable. Eyeshadow, lipstick, and lip balm can be replenished with recyclable refills—an approach that Louis Vuitton considers an integral part of the La Beauté philosophy.
To complement both Canvases, the beauty collection is accompanied for the first time by its own line of small leather goods and accessories. Prices range from 480 euros for the “Poche Toilette” to 1,040 euros for the “Lip & Eye Brush Set.”
