With the LV Crayon, Louis Vuitton is opening the next chapter in its La Beauté beauty line. The new lip contour collection, developed by Creative Director of Cosmetics Dame Pat McGrath, embodies both precision and skincare.
For more than twenty years, Pat McGrath has been responsible for the beauty looks at Louis Vuitton shows. For her, it always starts with a clear line: “Every look I’ve ever created for the Louis Vuitton runway begins with the lip line—that’s where precision becomes art. The LV Crayon is a tool that, in my opinion, belongs in every woman’s hands.”
Drawing Clear Lines
The monogram-shaped lip liner is designed to be worn with LV Rouge and LV Baume—to complement, contrast, and perfect lip looks. The peptide-enriched formula has a creamy texture that applies effortlessly and glides smoothly over the lips. It precisely defines the contours, making the lips appear fuller with an immediate and long-lasting effect.
There are ten highly pigmented shades to choose from—ranging from subtle nude and rosewood tones to the signature LV reds. There’s a clear concept behind the color palette, as Pat McGrath explains: “I’ve always believed that the most effective tools in a makeup artist’s kit are those that enhance without overpowering. The shades of the LV Crayon were created based on this very philosophy—the finest nude and rosewood shades, each selected with the utmost precision, complemented by a bold selection of iconic LV reds that add an element of the unexpected and create drama.”
To complement this, Louis Vuitton is launching a Lip Blending Brush (100 euros), a Beauty Sharpener (400 euros), and a Lip Pencil Case (850 euros). The LV Crayon itself costs 50 euros and is available at select Louis Vuitton stores and online.
