Absolute tranquility in Menorca, indestructible luggage, and a sailing yacht with a unique itinerary: If you haven’t planned your summer vacation yet, you’re sure to find something you love among our current travel favorites.
Experience
Setting Sail
“Yacht” and “adventure” don’t usually appear in the same sentence. The Varg Sail Yacht from Norrøna Adventures is much more of an expedition yacht than a party boat for the ultra-wealthy. But be warned: This trip should only be planned with your closest friends—the cozy interior has room for just six guests in three cabins. A salon with a fireplace and a sauna below deck, as well as a hot tub on deck, provide warmth should the wind ever get too chilly. The Varg was built specifically for expeditions above the Arctic Circle. So there’s a chance to see the Northern Lights—especially in winter. In the summer, the yacht allows for an almost deserted exploration of the Lofoten Archipelago, with access to remote anchorages that are only reachable by boat.

Exhibition
A Double Dose of Talent
Whether they’ve long since become icons or have only just picked up a camera: you can never see enough of good photography. That’s why Fotografiska Tallinn is offering both this summer: The exhibition “Photography in Power” celebrates big names like Frank Ockenfels 3, David LaChapelle, and Alison Jackson. “Emerging Talents,” on the other hand, shines the spotlight on new names from the Baltic region. It’s also worth taking the time to explore Tallinn more closely, beyond the overcrowded metropolises of Europe. The Estonian capital has just as much to offer as Rome, Paris, and the rest.
“Photography in Power,” through September 13, 2026, and “Emerging Artists 2026,” through November 1, 2026, Fotografiska Tallinn, tallinn.fotografiska.com

Nice to Have
Find me at the beach
There are said to be popular beaches where — thanks to mass tourism — it is becoming increasingly difficult to get hold of a comfortable lounger. We have a solution that is as practical as it is beautiful: La Vie’s Beach Collection includes not only beach towels, but also matching pillows you can take with you anywhere. So nothing stands in the way of sunbathing, reading, and full-body relaxation — and no stiff neck, either.

New Opening
Place of refuge
Nothing against partying in Mallorca. But if you prefer a quieter atmosphere, Menorca—the popular island’s little sister—is the perfect choice. And if you’re really serious about peace and quiet, you’ll want to book one of the eleven rooms and suites at the newly opened dream retreat, Binidufà. It’s the second boutique hotel on a private, 800-hectare estate and complements its sister hotel, Son Ermità. Thanks to carefully restored furniture, natural materials, art, and select antiques, you’ll feel as if you’re stepping into someone’s personal living space. You won’t need to leave Binidufà except for a stroll across the red Menorcan earth, because your culinary needs are also well taken care of: The on-site vegetarian-inspired restaurant, Mesura, celebrates Menorca’s diversity with vegetables, herbs, and grains from the region.

We Love
Tokyo Diaries
Everyone’s heading to Tokyo right now. Us, too. While we’re frantically adding the best vintage shops, restaurants, and museums to our travel to-do list, one thing has long been decided: which pieces of luggage we’ll be taking with us. Carl Friedrik’s aluminum series is perfect for the Japanese metropolis. Sturdy, stylish, and big enough for all our shopping.
